[BattleCON’s] [Kickstarter campaign] has ended, and out of a 6000 dollars goal, the project reached a funding of 15325 dollars! I’d say that’s a big success for an indie game that’s still to be launched! Due to the bonus funding, extra content will make it to the box, including 6 extra characters, one of them illustrated by yours truly!

Said character happens to be Luc Von Gott, which has all the info you’ll need in [HERE]. Also, the card artwork can be seen in [HERE], for those who wish to see the whole thing.

Now, I’ve lately been talking about BattleCON, the card game that emulates mechanics from 2D fighting games. I’ve also mentioned that the game has reached the necessary funding through it’s Kickstarter program. However, there are good news!

As I previously said, a new character would be added if the funding would meet 9000$ (USD). Not only was that achieved yesterday ( it’s past midnight here, so screw you! XD ), meaning that the new character Cherri will be in the game, but there’s also gonna be ANOTHER character.

It looks like someone donater 1500$, which makes him able to create a character for the game, which will be included in the game box, and it’s the second time this happens! This means that the final released game will be including 15 different characters! 12 from the originally planned box, plus 3 characters that will be added thanks to the efforts of everyone who has donated to the project!

As for my own thoughts on the game: after playing the downloadable demo, I pretty much have only good things to say about it! It’s fun, and not as hard to learn as it may seem in the beggining. I’ll eventually post a full review, but that’ll be for some other day.

Now, on another note… a while ago, I made a post regarding Battle CON, the card game I’ve been doing some stuff for. I previously said that the game was in need of funding, but that problem is no more, as yesterday, through Kickstarter, Battle CON has now received enough funding to see the light of day! A few months from now, Battle CON will be officially released!

But that doesn’t mean the Kickstarter will end. There’s still time, and if the project reaches $9000, a new character will be included in the game box. And there’s one more surprise in store for everyone who follows Ranter Works… more precisely, for anyone who might be a fan of Takeshi. ^^

So, that’ll be all, for now. I’ll be putting updates on Battle CON as I see fit. Until then, seeya around! ^^

Yup, ladies and gentlemen, I’m changing a few things around the place. Makin’ it easier for everyone to browse, and all that.

Apart from the aestetical change, I’ll start posting more stuff on the blog, in order to get more people around here. The webcomic’s got plenty of people, but look at this place! The only ones who visit it are flies, and those just come in by mistake! I really gotta do more than letting people know that the webcomic’s been updated.
